INTRODUCING
Resolution Writing Workshop

Resolutions are first presented at the local level, called the Precinct Convention; then they move to the county or senatorial district (SD) convention and finally to the state convention. As the resolutions move through the levels, they are combined and fine-tuned with other similar resolutions (not surprisingly, many folks have similar ideas). These resolutions may become planks in our party's platform and possibly future legislation.

This workshop will provide you with easy to follow directions, samples, and templates for constructing resolutions that can be submitted at the SD and/or state convention. We all have a right to be heard according to the federal Constitution; but learning to craft effective messages is critical to getting your ideas to and through the state party and the legislature.

Scheduled resolution writing workshops:

Tuesday, March 12 • 6-7 pm • One Shot Distillery • 31610 Ranch Road 12 • Dripping Springs, TX 78620

Thursday, March 14 • 6-7 pm • Grace Bible Church • 218 Country Estates Drive • San Marcos, TX 78666

Poll Watcher Training Continues

As we find ourselves moving ever more quickly towards November, we need an army of poll watchers at the polls this November. Poll watchers are quiet, non-interfering individuals who provide an extra layer of security at the polling location by showing up and carefully observing activities at the polls.

CURRENTLY SCHEDULED TRAININGS:

  • TBA - please check back later in March '24 for an update

Training dates will resume in April and May for the November General Election

You can always email us at vote4hays@gmail.com.

Poll Watcher Certification from the Texas Secretary of State has to be re-earned periodically. If you have one from the November 2023 Election, it has expired. It is advisable to go ahead and get it done before the Poll Watcher Training. The Certificate of Completion is required before you can be assigned to a polling location for Early Voting or Election Day. Click HERE for more information.
