Poll Watcher Training
Hays County Poll Watcher Training exists to preserve and protect the sanctity of the voting process in Hays County, Texas; and provide the tools necessary to successfully equip poll watchers.
As we find ourselves moving ever more quickly towards November, we need an army of poll watchers at the polls this November. Poll watchers are quiet, non-interfering individuals who provide an extra layer of security at the polling location by showing up and carefully observing activities at the polls.
Trainings currently scheduled at the Hays County Republican Party
Welcome Center located at 6000 FM 150, Kyle, TX 78640:

Poll Watcher Certification from the Texas Secretary of State has to be re-earned periodically. If you have one from the November 2023 Election, it has expired. We are much more in teaching and learning when attendees have completed the online SoS training before the Poll Watcher Training. The Certificate of Completion is required before you can be assigned to watch at a polling location.
To be a poll watcher in Texas, you need two things:

your Certificate of Completion of the online Poll Watcher training via the Texas Secretary of State's website (select Course Catalog to locate the Texas Poll Watcher Online Training); and
-
a completed Certificate of Appointment of Poll Watcher form.
We will assist you in securing the Appointment forms and assign you to your preferred polling location. Please email vote4hays@gmail.com to let us know when you've obtained your Certificate of Completion and your preferred location/days/times for watching.
